This unique textile was meticulously handspun and hand-loomed by exceptionally talented differently-abled and special needs artisans at the KADO (Karakoram Area Development Organization) Rehabilitation Centre in Hunza. Unlike thick wool pile carpets, a traditional Doori is tightly flat-woven using a sturdy natural cotton foundation. This creates a lightweight, reversible, and highly breathable structure that is perfectly suited for modern homes.

• Routine Cleaning: Shake the rug outdoors regularly to clear loose dust. Vacuum gently on a low-suction setting. Avoid using a high-powered rotating brush attachment to preserve the fringe details.

• Spills and Spot Treatment: Blot spills immediately with a dry, clean white cloth. Spot-clean gently with cold water and a splash of mild fabric-safe soap if needed. Never rub or scrub.
